I believe research and discovery is the foundation to any good design and experience. Here are some of the values that inspire me in my research process :

EXPLORE

Research means : To explore... people, experiences, emotions, concepts, solutions, technologies.

Using various research methods

• to learn about the users, who are they where they come from, what are they looking for? 

• to observe and analyze the experiences they go through

• to empathize the emotions they feel during the process

• to introduce or examine concepts of technological integrations into their lives 

• to identify the different kinds of technologies that aid them in completing certain tasks.

COLLABORATE

Collaborate extensively with product teams, development teams as well as stakeholders to layout milestones for projects based on problem or research study at hand. I try to include the stakeholders in the sessions to introduce them to the research process whilst showing them the different types of data that is being received during the sessions.

ANALYZE

Research data collection includes the accumulation of qualitative and quantitative data. 

• Qualitative data (such as interview responses, survey responses, contextual inquiry, user observations, heuristic evaluations and diary study) is analyzed with white boarding sessions, journalling, Miro Boards and affinity diagram mapping.

• Quantitative data (such as time on task, response rates, task completion) is analyzed using excel spreadsheets, infographics and correlations.

DELIVER

Deliver insights from research sessions and share findings and design recommendations for the product's next release .
